Brazil 2010

Brazil - Part I

This is the shortest route in one of the largest countries. But we did not want to mix it with other parts, additionally its a World Heritage Site: Foz de Iguacu. Birds and Waterfalls gave us a short, but delightful time.

Brazil - Part II

Our second trip to Brazil was inspired of the Pantanal. The wetland in the south-western part was very dry in August and September. Because of this the animals gathered around the remaining waterholes, this made spotting easier for us. We were quite surprised, how much of the landscape was destroyed by cattle farms, making it a quite negative experience.

Beside the natural exploration we had really wonderfull encounters with the Brazilians - some of them became friends for a lifetime.
